"Super easy to get in"
It was way smoother than I expected. There were no lines when I got there, so getting in was quick and easy. Nice when you don’t have to stand around waiting forever

"Felt Like I Was Getting the Runaround"
I asked a few staff members for help during my visit, it felt like I was just annoying them. One person pointed vaguely in some random direction and walked away before I could even ask a follow-up. Another told me they didn’t know and didn’t bother trying to check with anyone else. I started feeling like I was being given the runaround, which made me worry I was totally wasting my time or being fooled into thinking help was coming when it wasn’t. I understand places get busy, but a little basic effort would’ve made the whole experience way less stressful.

"Lines were quicker than expected"
I checked sdfair.com before we headed out and it made the day a lot easier. The wait times were accurate so we could choose better times and not just stand around forever. Super helpful when you’re going with kids

"Some of the exhibits were actually pretty…"
Some of the exhibits were actually cool, and I still enjoyed walking around and checking out the local stuff. That said, a few areas felt kind of thrown together and not as detailed as I remember from before. I also got annoyed with having to verify things over and over again during the visit, it just interrupted the experience more than it should have. Overall, it was still a fun stop, but I wish there was more variety and the setup felt a little more polished.

I was annoyed because the communication wasn’t clear at all. Instead of getting straightforward help, I was basically told to share my real vendor issue so they could rewrite it. That’s fine, but it would’ve been nice if they explained what they needed from me upfront instead of making the whole process feel confusing

"Felt Safe Overall"
Security was easy to spot around the fair, which made me feel safe tbh. The entrance lines moved okay, and bag checks were quick without anyone making it a whole thing lol. Only reason I’d give it 4 stars is that a few spots got kinda crowded and could’ve used another guard nearby. Overall though, no real issues.

"Parking was a hassle"
For some reason, finding parking took forever. I ended up driving around for ages before I finally found a spot, which was frustrating.

"Shows were kind of a letdown"
I was hoping the live shows would be more fun, but they started maybe 20 or 30 minutes late and just felt slow overall. After about 10 minutes, I was already losing interest. Not the worst thing ever, but definitely not something I'd rush back to see.

I was kind of tired of dealing with yet another service, but this one wasn’t too bad. The prices felt fair, and I was able to get what I needed without too much back and forth. The site could definitely be a little smoother, but overall it felt like good value.

"A Little Confusing, But Smooth"
The parking was kind of far, which threw me off a bit at first, but the shuttle showed up quickly. I wasn’t totally sure where I was supposed to go at first, but it ended up not being a big hassle.

I mostly went for the food, so I was let down. The fries were cold, the burger was dry, and it really seemed like everything had been sitting out for a while.
For the price, I feel like it should’ve been better, right? I know fair food isn’t supposed to be fancy or anything, but this was just not good. I don’t think I’d eat there again...

"Fun Saturday Visit, Just a Bit Crowded"
I went on a Saturday, it was packed when I got there. I expected the lines to be a nightmare, but they actually moved a lot faster than I thought they would. The food area filled up quickly and felt a little cramped, so that part wasn’t the most relaxing. Still, I ended up having a good time overall. I just wish there had been a little more space to move around

"Pretty frustrating to use"
I tried using sdfair to plan my visit, it was a hassle. With a screen reader and just the keyboard, some of the menus didn’t work the way they should, the buttons weren’t always clear, and the info I needed felt buried in messy pages. I kept having to ask someone else to help me find basic stuff, which kind of defeats the purpose. For a big public event, they really should have this sorted out. Accessibility shouldn’t feel like they just thought about it later. Disappointing.

"Okay site, but a bit frustrating"
The website looks decent overall, but finding basic info took more effort than I expected. A few pages loaded kind of slow for me, and the menu felt a little confusing to navigate. Maybe they haven’t updated the layout in a while, or maybe it’s just not optimized that well, but it made the whole thing more annoying than it needed to be. Not terrible, just not very smooth to use.

"Fair tickets are just way too expensive now"
I was planning to take my family to the fair like we used to, but the ticket prices on sdfair.com are seriously so high now. Once you add up tickets for everyone, you’re already spending a ton before even getting food or going on any rides. It feels like it’s just not very affordable for regular families anymore, which is really disappointing.

"Decent overall, but a little confusing"
It was mostly fine, honestly. I do think they could use more signs because I got turned around a couple times, which was kind of annoying. But the bathrooms were usually available when I needed them, so that was a nice surprise. Not amazing, not terrible, just okay in the end.
